Regina Ames

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), and founder of Ames Counseling Services based in Delaware. I thrive on dedicating my mental health training to empower people to make positive changes in their lives. Though life can be challenging and overwhelming at times, I have faith that change, healing, and growth is possible for anyone who is open to exploring their capacity to change from within.

As a licensed counselor, my role is to be present, empathetic, authentic, and supportive to assist individuals to break through the barriers to success and healing. I have experience working with adults, adolescences, and families from diverse backgrounds who have experience anxiety, depression, relational distress, and survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. Though my primary approach to counseling is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and have experience in other therapeutic modalities such as Gestalt therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT.
