These terms of services govern your access to/use Black Brown Delaware Therapists of Delaware (BBDT) Directory. Please read these terms carefully. By using the BBDT Directory, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to change these Terms periodically. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to periodically review this Site and these Terms. Your continued use of this Site and Offerings after such modifications will constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of the modified Terms. Terms are effective as of September 1, 2020.

Payments

Fees. The membership plan comes with a free trial option. Once the free trial ends you will automatically be charged to the card you have on file. Service that is ongoing and incurs recurring charges (such as a subscription), such charges will be billed in advance of service, and are nonrefundable.


Overdue Amounts. If, for any reason, your credit card company declines or otherwise refuses to pay the amount owed for the Offerings you have purchased, you agree that we may, at our option, suspend or terminate performance of Offerings or delivery of products and may require you to pay any overdue amounts incurred (including any third-party chargeback fees or penalties) by other means acceptable to us. In the event legal action is necessary to collect on balances due, you agree to reimburse us for all expenses incurred to recover sums due, including attorneys’ fees and other legal expenses.

Site Conduct, Posting Policies & Third-Party Websites

 When one wants to cancel membership, please contact owners at blackbrowntherapistsofde@gmail.com. Membership must be canceled at minimum 30 days in advance in order to not be charged for the next billing cycle.

When using message boards, writing posts, posting links etc. you agree that it will NOT be offensive, unethical, unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, deceptive, fraudulent, tortious, invasive of another’s privacy, or includes graphic descriptions of sexual or violent content; derogatory, victimizing or intimidating of individuals or groups.

Do not advertise and market products without the communication to staff via email.

Client – Clinician Relationship

Client-clinician relationship shall be professional and be in agreement with ethical guidelines. You assume full responsibility for the communications with any clinician you contact through the Site directory. Communicating with other providers and potential clients via message board are not HIPPA Compliant, which means be careful on what information is shared through the directory.

Intellectual Property and Rights

All materials contained on the Black Brown Delaware Therapists (BBDT) Directory  Website are protected by copyright laws, and may not be reproduced, republished, distributed, transmitted, displayed, broadcast or otherwise exploited in any manner without the express prior written permission of (BBDT).

Privacy and Security

In order to access your BBDT subscription you must create a log in and complete the registration portion of the sign up process. You will be required to keep all information updated. By registering you agree that the following information you submitted is accurate and that you will keep all information updated.

Password and Security

You are required to create a sign in name and password. You agree that you will keep your password confidential.  You are also responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. 

Termination 

You are free to stop using our services at any time.  We reserve the right to terminate and/or suspend your services if any of the following occur:

  • Breach any of the terms and conditions listed above
  • Acting in ways that are unethical, harmful, or causes loss to us or other users
  • You don’t have a paid account

Notification of Changes

BBDT reserves the rights to make edits and changes to the terms and policies and website material as needed. Changes can occur based on the following: 

  • Changes to the law
  • New regulation requirements 
  • Making improvements to the site and to the services we offer

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
